What Is Paint Correction?
This process will bring back the paint of your vehicle to a like-new condition by removing swirl, oxidation, water stains, light scratches, and spider webs. A proper paint correction can take several hours to days to complete.
In order to perform the right paint correction, we will first understand the type of paint of your car, single or dual stage paint ceramic or regular clear coat, the hardening level, heat resistance, and so on. Then it comes to the job itself, based on the type of paint, tools to use, type of polishing pads, type of compound, and what speed to run the machine.
Paint correction is a crucial step in the preparation of any ceramic coating job, to ensure not only the paint is very glossy but it also removes a (dead) or oxidized layer of paint that could cause the ceramic coating to fail. Of course not every paint correction job follows with a coating but certainly all coating jobs done at Extreme Detail will be paired with some level of paint correction service day.
